A kit can be used to upgrade the capacity of a TiVo DVR and it is a great way to repair a TiVo with a failing hard drive. No computer or software experience is necessary because each kit is prepared specifically for your particular TiVo.

Each kit we provide comes with specialized tools, mounting hardware, cables, and printed instructions; everything you need for a successful installation. Installing a kit is simply a matter of removing the existing hard drive(s) in your unit and replacing them with the ones we provide.

Adding a drive is an option only available on certain units, and can only be done to units which do not contain a previously upgraded drive. Given the age of many TiVo systems, we recommend replacing a drive whenever possible and if your existing content is important to you, consider our GOLD installation service, as well.
